I saw the Sisters of Mercy last night. It took major effort to leave my apartment and walk the two blocks to Webster Hall for a band I've never seen and barely heard, but I'd bought the ticket months ago and it was expensive. I got up at 5am this morning (5am!!!) and waited in line, in the cold, for 2 1/2 hours, so that I could get a wristband which will allow me to wait in another line tonight to meet Depeche Mode.
